Razz Tone FAQ

Q. What is a Razz Tone?

A. Razz Tones are ringtones that you build from the ground up. You select the theme, background music, and record your own voice to make a completely unique ringtone. Send it to your own phone and then share it with your friends.

Q. Why do you limit my recordings to 30 seconds?

A. Geez, how long does it take for you to answer your phone? Most (if not all) mobile phones will automatically go to voicemail within thirty seconds if you haven't answered. So, as the old saying goes, more than half a minute is a waste.

Q. Can I post my Razz Tone recording on my MySpace page? And Tagged, and Facebook, and Bebo, and Hyper-trendy-social-net-of-the-month.com?

A. You sure do get around don't you! We've got you covered. Choosing the "Publish" option after making your Razz Tone will bring up our One-click publishing widget that has support for the majority of sites out there. If you don't see your particular corner of the net listed you can always copy the embed code and paste it anywhere you like.

Q. What carriers do you support for Razz Tones?

A. In the US we currently support: AT&T, Cellular One, and Sprint. In the UK we currently support: O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Three, and Vodafone. If your carrier isn't on this list you should check back often as we are adding new ones all the time.

Q. What handsets do you support?

A. We support any phone that allows for True Tone or MP3 ringtones. You can test your phone for compatibility at any point by following the "My Account" link on the footer of Razz.com.

Q. What is the best way to share my Razz Tone with friends?

A. Every Razz Tone has a unique "Buddy Code" that you can give to your friends. All they have to do is enter this code into the Buddy Code box on razz.com and they will be able to download your Razz Tone hassle free.

Q. I have made several recordings for the web. Can they be turned into Razz Tones?

A. Your Razz Tones can swing both ways. Any recording you have made can be shared on the web as well as transferred to your phone. Just find the recording in your stash and click the "Send to phone" link.

Q. I accidentally deleted the Razz Tone from my phone. Is there any way for me to get it again?

A. I don't see why not. Just go to your "Stash" page. You will see the Razz Tones you have created. Click the "Send to phone" link beside the desired recording and you will be on your way.
